A case of illegal religious education has been identified in Samarkand.
In a joint operation conducted by the Department of the State Security Service for the Samarkand region and the Internal Affairs bodies, it was revealed that a resident of the Tashlak district of the Fergana region, born in 1991, rented one of the apartments in the "Dustlik" mahalla of the Urgut district and organized a "hujra."
It was established that this person, who did not have special religious education and did not receive the appropriate permission, was engaged in illegal religious education of 7 boys born between 2011 and 2016 in exchange for financial gain.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 2292, Part 2 of the Criminal Code (violation of the procedure for teaching religious teachings), and a preventive measure of "imprisonment" has been applied. Investigative actions are underway.
"Dear parents, do not leave your children in the hands of those with insufficient religious education, leaving their future in doubt. Such actions may lead to serious consequences in the future," the State Security Service said in a statement.
