50,000 dollars will be awarded to each of the top 5 schools in the world. The winners of the World's Best School Prize 2023 received a total of $250,000 .
This award was created post-Covid to share the experiences of leading schools that are changing the lives of their students and making a real difference to society.
In 2023, the following 5 schools with the world's best award were considered worthy:
1. World's Best School Award Winner for Community Engagement:
SPARK Soweto, an independent, part-government funded nursery and primary school in Johannesburg, South Africa;
2. Regarding environmental protection:
"Institution Educativa Municipal Montessori sede San Francisco", an elementary and secondary school located in Colombia;
3. Winner of the World's Best School for Innovation Award:
Riverside School is an independent international school in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India;
4. Winner of World's Best School Award for Overcoming Adversity:
Max Reyne Hand In Hand Jerusalem School is Israel's only bilingual, Jewish-Arabic integrated primary and secondary school;
5. World's Best School for Healthy Living Award Winner:
"EEMTI Joaquim Bastos Gonsalves", Government High School in Carnaubale.
The World's Best School Award is open to all schools that provide compulsory schooling and are legally registered under the relevant Ministry of Education or government control, including kindergartens, primary and secondary schools and online schools can claim.
For information, applications for the 2024 award continued until February 23 of this year.
