Parents warned before winter break
Winter holidays for students across Uzbekistan will begin on December 28th. In this regard, the State Road Safety Service appealed to parents.
It is noted that during the holidays, the safety and supervision of children will be the responsibility of parents. The need to pay special attention to the responsibility of ensuring the safety of children on roads in cold weather conditions was emphasized.
It is also requested not to leave children unattended during New Year's tree celebrations and festive events, and to monitor their compliance with traffic rules. In particular, it was noted that attention should be paid to the issues of not crossing the road in unauthorized places, following traffic light signals, and not using pyrotechnic devices.
The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate urged parents to be vigilant and responsible in matters related to their children so that New Year's and winter holidays are free from unpleasant incidents, enjoyable, and, most importantly, safe.
As a reminder, in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 140 of March 15, 2017, winter holidays for students of general education schools in the 2025-2026 academic year begin on December 28 (in primary grades 1-4 - from Saturday, December 27).
Vacation will last until January 10, 2026 (14 calendar days). Since Sunday, January 11, 2026, falls on a non-working day, classes in the third quarter will begin on January 12, 2026.
