Today, foreign language teachers who are graduating from universities and have good knowledge do not want to work in schools because of the low monthly salary. Abduvali Khalikov, the head of the Department of Educational Institutions Organization, Licensing, and Quality Assurance, announced this at a press conference held yesterday, May 8.
At the press conference, the journalist of Qalampir.uz site asked about the reaction of the Ministry of Higher Education to the fact that language certificates are required from graduates who graduated in foreign languages despite having a diploma, and graduates who do not have language certificates are not hired.

"C1 level language certificate is required from foreign language teachers both in higher education institutions and in schools. Good foreign language teachers don't go to school because of the low salary, to be honest.
So, if the school doesn't hire you, you have to go to a better place. Of course, the employer's request should also be taken into account. There is a diploma, the diploma is passed. Don't get it wrong, it doesn't mean that the diploma is not recognized.
In the sense that he is demanding a certificate, let it be the teacher's certificate. It is necessary to obtain a certificate only if the employer requires it. A foreign language teacher should know a foreign language better than anyone," says Khalikov.
