It was reported that in January-July, the average monthly nominal salary in Uzbekistan reached 5 million 92 thousand soums. In the education sector, the average salary remains the lowest.

According to the latest data published by the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan, the average salary of education workers is still one of the lowest in the country.

The average monthly wages by type of economic activity are as follows:

• banking, insurance, leasing, credit and intermediary activities - 14.4 million soums;

• information and communication - 12.4 million soums;

• transportation and storage - 7.7 million soums;

• industry - 6.2 million soums;

• trade - 5.9 million soums;

• construction - 5.4 million soums;

• accommodation and food services - 4.6 million soums;

• education - 3.5 million soums;

• healthcare and social services - 3.3 million soums.

The highest average monthly salary in the field of education was observed in the city of Tashkent (5 745.0 thousand soums), Namangan (3 475.1 thousand soums) and Tashkent (3 460.2 thousand soums) regions.

High growth rates were recorded in Samarkand region (116.9%), Tashkent city (116.4%), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (115.9%) and Khorezm region (115.8%).
