The school director who promoted the "Open Budget" was fined 34 million soums
According to Kun.uz, it was confirmed that the director of school No. 18 in Romitan district of Bukhara region forced teachers to gather votes for the project in the "Initiative Budget." This was reported by the National Commission on the fight against human trafficking and decent work.
According to Article 51, Part 2 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, the director was fined an administrative fine of BHM 100 (34 million soums).
"The National Commission calls on all officials, as well as employers and regional leaders, to ensure the constitutional rights of employees," the statement said.
Kun.uz on August 26 reported that teachers of school No. 18 in Romitan were forced to go door-to-door and gather votes to improve the school's technical base.
The project, which received 1,654 votes, was not among the winners. The school did not have 28 votes to win.
For information, in the "Initiative Budget," forcing subordinates to vote is classified as involving forced labor. This is stipulated in the presidential decree.
According to Article 5 of the Labor Code, forced labor is prohibited.
According to Article 51 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, officials who allow forced labor are subject to a fine of 50-100 BCAs. If the same act is committed repeatedly or against a minor, criminal liability is established under Article 148-2 of the Criminal Code.
