According to paragraph 78 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 12, 2022 No. 172 "On Approving Road Traffic Rules," it is established that the speed of vehicles in settlements should not exceed seventy kilometers per hour, and on roads around schools and preschool educational institutions up to three hundred meters - thirty kilometers, and in residential areas and adjacent territories - not more than twenty kilometers per hour.
Also, according to paragraph 3 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 25, 2024 No. 148 "On measures to improve the system of recording violations of traffic rules using special automated software for photo and video recording," the Annex to the Regulation on the procedure for the installation and operation of special automated software for photo and video recording at pedestrian crossings on at least four-lane roads, foci of traffic accidents, railway intersections in front of schools located along the road has been approved.
This will be carried out by the Center for the Development of "Safe City" Systems of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the expense of the Republican Fund "Safe Road and Safe Pedestrian" and will be installed in places determined by the traffic safety department.
Currently, in order to ensure the implementation of this application and safe city projects, radar devices for photo and video speed measurement are being installed near educational institutions located along the roads in the regions.
In this case, drivers who exceed 30 km/h in the vicinity of schools will pay a fine.
