Deputies also started talking about the 5-day education system

Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Shakhnoza Kholmakhamatova drew attention to the topic "Transition of the education system to a full 5-day study and work regime."
"According to Article 40 of the Constitution of Uzbekistan, every citizen has the right to appeal to state bodies. "My opinion" serves as a convenient and open platform for the realization of this right.
Currently, appeals on the topics "Introduction of the concept of "platform workers" into labor relations," "Parents against the 100-point education system!," "Transfer of the education system to a full 5-day study and work mode" are being considered through the web portal "My opinion."
Among the appeals, the topic "Transition of the education system to a full 5-day study and work regime," which is under wide public discussion, to date has been viewed by 153,829, and 657 comments have been left by citizens.
This appeal received a total of 12,660 votes in 6 days. 12,527 of the votes (98.9) were in favor, 133 (1.1%) were against. To date, this appeal has received more than 10 thousand votes and has been sent to the Cabinet of Ministers for consideration. The decision will be published on the web portal.
As the President emphasized, draft laws must have a viable and precise implementation mechanism. This will be achieved by expanding public participation and taking into account proposals from scientific analyses and platforms," the deputy wrote.
The fact that deputies have begun to express their opinions on this issue will again lead to discussions among the general public, and questions and suggestions will arise among specialists in the field and parents.
This, in turn, necessitates a deeper study of the 5-day education system, analysis of experience, and consideration of the possibilities of its practical implementation.
In general, the fact that deputies have begun to interfere in this matter could be a wake-up signal for the responsible agencies, which are currently silent. In this way, the possibility of transitioning to a 5-day education regime will increase not only during discussion, but also at the stage of real practical decisions.
