The reporting procedure of deputy directors to the Council of Spirituality and Enlightenment has been canceled

In some regions, district (city) spiritual-enlightenment councils are still demanding reports from deputy directors of spiritual and educational affairs and are still receiving complaints about interfering in their activities.

It should be noted that by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-79 dated May 26, 2023, the following procedures were completely canceled:

–implementation of the appointment of the deputy director of general educational institutions for spiritual and educational affairs based on the recommendation of the district (city) spiritual and educational center;

–the procedure for the deputy directors for spiritual and educational affairs to report to the district (city) spiritual and educational council at the end of the year and to evaluate their activities based on the results of the report.

Please note: The above procedure was regulated by paragraphs 11 and 14 of Presidential Decree No. PF-6108 dated November 6, 2020 starting from January 1, 2021.

Paragraphs 11 and 14 of Decree No. PF-6108 were canceled by Presidential Decree No. PF-79 dated May 26, 2023. That is, at present this procedure does not exist in practice.

The introduction of this procedure gave great independence to the deputy directors. Now, no one but the director can punish the deputies for not fulfilling the tasks of the spiritual-enlightenment council.
