Question

I'm a trainee teacher. In the professional certification test held in March-June of this year, a few points were missing.

For this reason, he took part in an extraordinary professional certification test. But this time I didn't score enough points. Can I work until next year?

According to the regulations approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 87 dated February 2, 2024, an applicant who scored 56 or more points on the result of the professional certificate test is considered to have passed the control test.

An applicant with a score of less than 56 points is considered not to have passed the control examination, and they will be given another opportunity to participate in an extraordinary professional certification examination before the start of the new academic year.

However, it is determined that the employment contract concluded with the applicant who participated in the extraordinary control test and did not score enough points will be terminated in the manner prescribed by labor law.

In this case, the employer sends a protest (reclamation) about the applicant's failure to pass professional certification to the higher educational organization where the applicant whose employment contract has been terminated has graduated.

In conclusion, if an intern-teacher fails the professional certification test a second time, he will not be able to work at school.
