From February 1, 2025, the activities of guardianship and trusteeship commissions on children's issues will be terminated

The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On approval of some normative legal acts on the forms of placement of orphans and children deprived of parental care" (No. 893, 27.12.2024) was adopted.

According to the decision, the following were approved, including:

• Regulation on the body of guardianship and trusteeship of minors in the Republic of Uzbekistan;

• Regulation on the procedure for establishing guardianship and trusteeship of minors;

• Regulation on the procedure for adopting orphans and children deprived of parental care;

• Regulation on orphanages;

• The regulation on orphanages;

• Regulation on small children's homes.

Payment of monthly payments to foster parents who have adopted orphans and children deprived of parental care into a family (patronage), as well as expenses for providing children with clothing and shoes, will be carried out from 2025 at the expense of funds allocated to the National Agency for Social Protection from the republican budget.

From February 1, 2025, the activities of commissions on guardianship and trusteeship for orphans and children deprived of parental care under district (city) khokimiyats will be terminated.
