The Ministry issued an official statement on the "Urgent 90 Days" events.

As you know, on May 27 of this year, on the website xalqtaliminfo.uz, we reported that the regional departments of preschool and school education were issuing instructions that teachers and managers should not take leave this year, and they were even involved in the "Urgent 90 Days" campaign on Sundays.
In our article "Will Teachers Now Work Even During Summer Vacation?" we raised several questions before the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, paying special attention to the fact that the "Urgent 90 Days" events may violate the labor rights of teachers.
Today, the Ministry issued an official statement on this situation. The Ministry's official statement emphasized that no teacher's labor rights will be violated during the summer holidays.
Due to activities related to the meaningful organization of students' free time during holidays, incorrect information is being disseminated on social networks that teachers do not go on vacation during the summer season.
Every year, in the summer season, when the academic year ends, all employees, including 538 thousand teachers in schools, go on vacation in the 3rd stage (from June 1, June 15, and July. Including:
1st stage - 296 thousand people;
2nd stage - 188 thousand people;
In the 3rd stage, it is planned to take leave for 54 thousand teachers.
For reference: in the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 263 of June 26, 2023, the duration of the annual extended leave for teachers of general secondary education organizations is set at 56 calendar days.
During these periods, all pedagogical workers are released on vacation during the summer season without any restrictions in the manner prescribed by labor legislation, and payments related to vacation are paid to them in the prescribed manner.
It should be noted that the Ministry, together with partner ministries and agencies, approved the "Current 90 Days" program of measures for the purpose of meaningful leisure activities for students in general education schools during the summer period.
According to it, the Youth Agency plans to organize such diverse events and projects as the intellectual game "Zakovat," the projects "Ibrat farzandlari," "Girls' Academy," "Mutolaa," as well as the "Youth Tourism" month, the "Young Reader Family" competition, the screening of films and cartoons, the Ministry of Sports - competitions "Olympic Peaks of New Uzbekistan" and mass sports competitions, and the Writers' Union - creative evenings "Alley Evenings."
The activities included in this program involve the voluntary involvement of mahalla youth and students on vacation, during which it is planned to effectively use the existing infrastructure of general education schools (activity halls, gyms and grounds, computer rooms, shaded areas). In other words, the doors of schools will be fully open to students during the holidays.
It has also been determined that the organization of these events will be carried out in cooperation with officials from subordinate systems of partner ministries and agencies, youth leaders in mahallas, and volunteers," the ministry said in a statement.
What conclusion can be drawn from this statement?
The general conclusion is that during the summer holidays, teachers who have gone on vacation should not be involved in events planned within the framework of "Urgent 90 Days."
The Ministry emphasized that only the educational institution's premises will be used for the "Urgent 90 Days" events. That is, an assembly hall, a gym and playgrounds, a computer room, and shady areas will be opened for all schoolchildren and young people of the mahalla.
These events are organized by subordinate officials of partner ministries and agencies (school employees who have not yet taken leave) and mainly by youth leaders and volunteers in mahallas.
In this case, none of the pedagogical and managerial staff who have gone on vacation are disturbed.
Young people from the mahalla and students on vacation, who will be involved in the "Urgent 90 Days" event, will also participate voluntarily.
Thus, during the summer holidays, the Ministry guarantees that the labor rights of teachers will be fully ensured, they will go on vacation, and teachers will not be forced to participate in the "Urgent 90 Days" events.
