"Pedagogues with work experience and qualification category cannot be involved in professional certification tests" - the ministry

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education sent an instructional letter to the regional departments after some mistakes were made in the issue of involving teachers in professional certification tests.

The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 87 of February 2, 2024, "Starting from the 2023/2024 academic year, trainees-teachers who are first admitted to the teaching profession in general secondary educational organizations, and from the 2024/2025 academic year, gradually, pedagogical personnel of general secondary educational organizations who do not have the relevant category will be involved in professional certification tests," as well as the regulation approved by this resolution, stipulates that "the applicant is a trainee-teacher in a state general secondary educational

According to the instruction letter of the ministry, the execution of the above tasks by the directors of some general secondary educational organizations is interpreted incorrectly, and there are cases of recruitment of candidates with pedagogical work experience, who change their place of work for various reasons, as well as attracting teachers with higher, first and second qualification categories to professional certification tests.

In this regard, the ministry instructed that it is incorrect to hire candidates with pedagogical experience who change jobs for various reasons as trainees-teachers, as well as not to involve teachers with higher, first and second qualification categories in professional certification tests.
