What should be the normal temperature in classrooms?
According to the recommendation of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee, air temperature should be at least 21 degrees and relative humidity should be 40-60 percent for light physical work.
In accordance with occupational safety requirements when conducting classes in educational institutions, the air temperature in the classrooms should not be below 21°C for light physical work, 17°C for medium-heavy work, and 16°C for heavy work.
Also, the temperature of some rooms in the educational institution should be as follows:
- The temperature in the gym is regularly between 18°C and 20°C, the humidity is 50-60 percent;
- The temperature in the physics classroom should be 18°C - 21°C, and the air humidity should be 40 - 60 percent.
Also, the toilets on the territory of the educational institution should be connected to the hot water and sewage system.
In the absence of a sewer system in an educational institution, in agreement with the state sanitary control bodies, it is allowed to have cesspools with a device that does not leak water from showers and washbasins without polluting the ground layer in the educational institution.
