Starting from the new academic year, classes specializing in artificial intelligence may open in Navoi.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on February 10 on the ongoing work and priority tasks for the socio-economic development of the Navoi region.

At the meeting, it was noted that the region is one of the leading regions in the republic in the field of education, higher education coverage is 71 percent, and last year 10 school graduates achieved a 100-percent result in university admission.

It was also proposed to open specialized classes based on the principle of "One school - one IT class" in the cities of Navoi and Zarafshan starting from the new academic year.

For this purpose, 100 teachers from the region will undergo advanced training in IT and artificial intelligence in the capital and abroad, and a full-time training program in the field of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity will be launched at the Zarafshan branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies.

At the end of the meeting, the President approved the plans and proposals, emphasized that their implementation should bring concrete changes to the lives of the population, and gave relevant instructions to the responsible officials.
