"National Forum of Teachers" will be held in all regions until August 30

On August 15 this year, under the slogan "New Uzbekistan begins at the threshold of school," the "National Forum of Teachers" was launched at the "Renaissance" children's camp in Tashkent region.

The events previously called "August Council" are now continuing as "National Forum of Teachers." Within the framework of the forum, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education organized training to regularly inform teachers working in the system about innovations, introduce them to advanced methods and exchange experience.

The purpose of this forum is to:

• familiarization with the reforms being carried out in the system, the work carried out to improve the content of education,

• to convey the content and essence of curricula, curricula, textbooks, a new assessment system, as well as advanced methods applied to the educational process to industry workers.

• The forum was attended by 400 leading teachers and educators from all regions of the country.

At the event, it was noted that a number of positive changes have been implemented in the system.

The number of preschool educational organizations reached 37,548 (33,942 in 2023), the coverage rate of children aged 3-7 reached 74.6% (2023 - 74%), and the coverage of children aged 6 reached 93%.

A special platform has been launched to popularize the best practices of teachers, and 15,716 advanced methods have been popularized.

As a result of the introduction of the assessment system of specialized schools in 500 schools, assimilation increased from 53 to 59 percent. In the 2023/2024 academic year, a total of 91 medals have been won by students at prestigious and regional Olympiads.

The second International Olympiad of Young Mathematicians named after Al-Khwarizmi and the International Olympiad of Biology named after Abu Ali Ibn Sina were also held in Bukhara. All these achievements are the result of systematic work.

For reference: It is planned that the events of this forum will be held in a traditional cascade manner on August 19-20 at the regional level, on August 23-24 at the district (city) level, on August 27-30 at all educational institutions.

Within the framework of the forum, training sessions will be organized in particular on the following topics:

• the role of educators in increasing the effectiveness of educational work in preschool educational organizations;

• advanced methods used in textbooks;

• the 5E model in teaching natural sciences, including engagement, exploration, explanation, application (elaboration), evaluation, and the effective implementation of the "material-image-symbolic" (CPA - Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract) MRT approach in teaching exact sciences;

• Developing 21st-century skills in students;

• development of research skills, communication skills, digital and media literacy, problem-solving skills;

• project-based learning, research-based learning, and student-centered learning.
