Some functions of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education may be transferred to the private sector.

According to the document published by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, some public services provided in the system of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education will be gradually transferred to the private sector.

In order to ensure the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 27, 2025 No. PP-78 "On Additional Measures to Create Favorable Conditions for the Sustainable Development of the Service Sector," the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is conducting a survey.

According to the document published by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the following functions performed by the MMTV may be transferred to the private sector:

• publication of journals and newspapers, forms, educational and methodological complexes, bulletins and teaching aids related to the activities of the Ministry system, as well as organization of the work of the Ministry's website;

• Implementation of the "STEAM - education" program (Science - natural sciences, Technology - technologies, Engineering - engineering, Art - art, Mathematics - mathematics) in children's schools "Barkamol Avlod" and the development and implementation of curricula for its integration into the content of clubs;

• taking, jointly with the Uzbekistan "Yoshlik" Physical Culture and Sports Society, measures for the wide promotion of physical culture and sports among student youth, creating conditions for children to regularly engage in physical culture, holding sports competitions "Merry Starts" and "Summer Vacation," holding sports competitions "Umid Nihollari" and others;

• Ensuring inclusive education and upbringing of children with various developmental disabilities and those in need of treatment and rehabilitation.

Currently, a survey of the functions and services of the ministry, which is proposed to be transferred to the private sector, is ongoing.
