The position of Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education remains vacant.

Currently, there are a number of organizations and higher educational institutions in the system of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, in some of which the leadership position has been vacant for a long time.

For example, the position of Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education for the Development of Pedagogical Education - Rector of the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan named after Nizami has been vacant for 4 months.

The status of the rector of the university was equated to the position of deputy minister by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 28, 2025 "On Measures for Further Improvement of the System of Training Pedagogical Personnel."

On May 7 of this year, Karimova Ezoza Gapirjonovna was appointed to this position.

On July 31, 2025, after E'zoza Karomova was appointed Minister of Preschool and School Education, she was relieved of her position as Rector of the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan.

From July 31, 2025, the position of Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education for the Development of Pedagogical Education - Rector of the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan named after Nizami remains vacant. It is unclear why candidates for this position are not being considered.

Vacant position for a year

The Republican Education Center is also one of the organizations in the system of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.

After the dismissal of the former director of the Republican Education Center, Shukhrat Sattorov, no one was appointed to the position of director of the center for a long time.

On February 12, 2024, Sherzod Khudaykulov, who worked as the head of the Department of Preschool and School Education of Syrdarya region, will be appointed as the director of the Republican Education Center.

However, almost a year later, Sherzod Khudaykulov was dismissed from his post, and since then the position of director of the Republican Education Center has remained vacant.

Currently, there are also a number of vacancies in the central office of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.
