Almost 60% of teachers failed the certification.

As you know, from April 15 to May 14 of this year, certification tests were held for pedagogical workers.

Today, a 4-minute briefing was held with the participation of Dilfuza Sobirova, Head of the Information Service of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, on the results of the qualification category tests. It disclosed some information about the certification of teachers.

At this briefing, it was reported that the test materials used in the certification were developed based on international testology standards with the participation of specialists in the field, scientists, and practicing teachers.

Based on the established criteria, about 30 thousand control and test materials were prepared in three languages - Uzbek, Russian, and Karakalpak - in 46 subjects.

About 190,000 teachers submitted online applications to participate in the qualification testing, of which 177,640, or 95% of the total number of applicants, took part in the processes.

No adverse events were observed during the certification tests. 75 teachers were disqualified from the tests for violating the established rules, and reports were drawn up in the prescribed manner.

In the qualification tests, 5,095 teachers scored 86 or higher. Now these teachers will be assigned 70 percent bonuses based on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 130 dated February 28, 2025.

According to the results of the certification, 10,504 teachers scored enough points for the highest category, 23,200 for the first category, and 27,805 for the second category. Also, 6,603 pedagogical specialists retained their positions.

In total, more than 73 thousand teachers showed positive results. At the same time, about 104 thousand teachers did not pass the certification.

A total of 4,880 teachers participated in the professional certification tests held on May 15-16 of this year.

Now, based on the results of the certification, an electronic certificate with a QR code will be sent to the personal accounts of teachers. Also, changes made to teachers' monthly salaries are sent to UzASBO accounting or other financial calculation programs for automatic calculation.

At the briefing, the issue of teachers dissatisfied with the results of the certification was not addressed. In an interview with Xalqtaliminfo.uz, a ministry official announced that the Ministry of Preschool and School Education would soon organize an extended press conference for media representatives on the topic of teacher certification, and a meeting with the participation of specialists in the field, testologists, and teachers would be held to analyze the certification test questions.

However, the head of the Information Service, Dilfuza Sobirova, did not specify when the extended press conference dedicated to the certification of teachers will be held.
