The Ministry of Preschool and School Education provided information on the results of school graduates' entrance exams for higher education in Uzbekistan in 2025.
It was reported that 438,869 students graduated from school this year, and 75% of them took entrance exams to universities. At the same time, the indicator of school graduates scoring the maximum points on entrance exams to higher education increased 5 times.
Also, this year's graduates achieved high results in obtaining state grants. In particular, 619 school graduates received the highest score of 189. 84.2% of the state grant quota (29,881 people) was filled by this year's graduates. This indicator shows an increase of 7.2% compared to the previous year.
The number of graduates admitted to state universities has increased by 3.5% over the past three years. This year, 25.8 percent of school graduates (113,176 people) were admitted to universities. The highest rates of university admission were recorded in Navoi (48.4%), Bukhara (38.2%), and Jizzakh (32.4%) regions.
In terms of the average score obtained on the exam, the Bukhara region led by region (96 points).
For information: a total of 614,768 applicants took part in the entrance exams to universities in Uzbekistan this year, which is 122,000 fewer than last year. 41.29% of those who took the test did not score the minimum passing score - 56.7 points.
