Now applicants will not have problems entering universities

Currently, under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, an expanded meeting is being held on issues of ensuring employment of graduates of higher educational institutions.

At it, the president put forward a new initiative to attract young people to higher education.

"We gave applicants the opportunity to choose 5 universities. It would be fair to say that this is a big leap in higher education. We will further expand this," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Now, if applicants have not been admitted to any of the 5 universities, but their score corresponds to an unfilled program at another university, the rector of this university will be able to admit them on a contract basis.

It was noted that this will contribute to the development of competition between state and private universities.

What does this mean?

The applicant will not be limited to only 5 universities of their choice. Other universities can also open their doors to him.

The accumulated points are not wasted. If the applicant's score is sufficient for a university, they will have the opportunity to study.
