Kindergarten children were massively poisoned, the minister personally took control of the situation.
On September 24 of this year, news spread about food poisoning of pupils of several preschool educational organizations in the Pskent and Buka districts of the Tashkent region.
Based on the conclusion of the preliminary medical examination, the children were diagnosed with "Acute functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, food toxicoinfection," the necessary treatment was carried out, and on the same day, due to the improvement in the health of most children, they were sent home. Patients in serious condition have not been identified.
Following this, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education issued its initial official statement on the situation.
It is noted that the situation was immediately taken under control by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, and an investigation was launched jointly with the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing and Public Health and law enforcement agencies.
According to preliminary assumptions, the cause of the changes in children's health was low-quality dairy products. It was established that the 3.2% kefir product brought to preschool educational organizations on this day was produced in one of the workshops in the Akkurgan district.
Tests taken from patients seeking medical assistance, as well as samples of consumed food, are being examined in the relevant laboratories.
On September 25, officials led by Minister Ezoza Karimova studied the situation in the Tashkent region.
According to the Ministry, Minister Ezoza Karimova and Deputy Minister Azizbek Turdiyev visited preschool educational institutions in the Kuyichirchik, Akkurgan, Pskent, and Buka districts to personally investigate these cases.
In particular, in cooperation with territorial law enforcement agencies and local authorities, the current state of kindergartens and the conditions in the canteens were inspected.
Currently, 12 children are under medical supervision in the Kuyichirchik district and 97 children in the Akkurgan district. In cooperation with relevant organizations, as a precautionary measure, preschoolers in Pskent and Buka districts are being checked by doctors in turn.
So far, no cases of serious threat to children's health have been identified. Currently, the situation is under the control of law enforcement agencies, and an investigation has begun.
