The regulation "On the procedure for certification of pedagogic personnel of preschool, general secondary, secondary special, professional and extracurricular educational organizations" approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 572 dated September 17, 2021 According to clause 10, paragraph 2, specialists with a master's degree are awarded the second qualification category (senior teacher position).

For information, the validity period of the second qualification category and certificate issued directly (without attestation) to specialists with a master's degree expires after five years. After the five-year period, pedagogues who were awarded the second category for the master's degree directly (without certification) will be involved in the next mandatory certification according to the established procedure.
Specialists with a master's degree are not involved in professional certification tests
2023/2024- Candidates with higher education, who are employed for the first time in the teaching profession from the academic year, work as intern-teachers and are required to have a professional certificate for 1 year from the time of their employment.
Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, pedagogues working in schools who do not have the appropriate qualification category will be involved in professional certification tests. Specialists with a master's degree are not involved in professional certification tests.
