A video showing 1st-grade students carrying chairs at a school in Jizzakh region was circulated on social networks. After that, the Children's Ombudsman announced that he had taken this situation under his supervision.
It was found out that on April 22 of this year, in the English language class of the 1st "A" class in general education school No. 5 in Zarbdar district, the teacher R.T. (born in 1999) asked students for their homework.
6 boys and 7 girls were forced to lift the chairs they were sitting on in the classroom as an educational measure because they came to class unprepared. He took a video of this situation on his phone and sent it to the group of parents of this school through the Telegram social network.
Currently, investigation efforts are being carried out in connection with this situation by the IIB of Zarbdar district.
"The use of various forms of violence or educational measures based on violence against children, including inhuman or degrading treatment and types of punishment, is prohibited by law and is the basis for appropriate responsibility. Children's ombudsman will continue to monitor this situation in the interests of children," the Children's ombudsman said in a message.
