Private kindergartens were allowed to be built on vacant school land
As you know, on September 4 of this year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of proposals for the development of preschool education and the improvement of the system of working with talented youth.
In this presentation, in order to expand the coverage of preschool education, a proposal was put forward to allow the construction of kindergartens on the vacant lands of schools on the basis of public-private partnership.
According to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to further improve the quality and effectiveness of preschool education" was signed.
According to the decree, starting from January 1, 2025, it is allowed to establish the activities of non-state preschool educational organizations on the basis of public-private partnership on vacant land plots of state general secondary educational institutions with low coverage.
State higher education institutions were also allowed to establish preschool educational organizations on their vacant land plots.
