208 schools in the republic will be transformed into militarized educational institutions

On November 15, 2024, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed Resolution No. 393 "On measures to bring the system of initial pre-conscription training of students to a new level."

This resolution establishes a "Courage School" in each district (city) of the republic based on one general secondary school, aimed at fostering patriotism in children from an early age. The selection of students for these schools begins from the 5th grade.

These schools conduct practical exercises twice during the academic year at military training grounds and once a quarter in military units.

In addition to the basic tariff rate of an educational institution teacher, the heads of pre-conscription training attached to the "Courage Schools" will be subject to the conditions of remuneration, allowances, additional payments, incentives, and material assistance established for civilian employees of the district (city) defense departments.

Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, one student who is a member of the "Pillar of the Homeland" detachment and has graduated from the "Courage School" with excellent grades will be given a preferential recommendation for admission to higher military, militarized, and legal educational institutions.

Furthermore, in the "Courage Schools":

• mathematics, pre-conscription training, history, physical education, foreign languages, and physics are taught in depth;

• extracurricular activities such as robotics, future games, medical training, legal literacy, and national sports games are conducted;

• during the academic year, practical exercises are conducted twice at military training grounds and once a quarter in military units.

The "Turon" school theater competition is held in educational institutions to educate young people in the spirit of patriotism.
