School restrooms with difficult conditions will be located inside the building

It is known that the situation with water supply, sanitation, and hygiene in schools has a significant impact on the health and attendance of students.

For example, due to the lack of sanitary conditions in schools, it turned out that one in 14 girls does not go to school at a certain time. In poor families, this figure is even higher, amounting to one in eight.

Today, at a video conference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, it was noted that 35-40 percent of infectious diseases occur due to non-compliance with basic hygiene rules.

In this regard, the "Clean Hands" program will now be implemented in all schools, kindergartens, technical schools, universities, polyclinics, and hospitals.

According to him:

• Handwashing facilities in educational and medical organizations are fully equipped with sanitary and hygienic means.

• In 126 schools with difficult conditions, toilets will be built inside buildings, and more than 6 thousand kindergartens will be provided with solar collectors;

• Water tanks and tanks will be installed in 4,295 social institutions.

This year alone, 780 billion soums will be allocated from the budget for these purposes. It was noted that every social institution must be clean and tidy, and comfortable sanitary and hygienic conditions must be created for people.
