It became known that teachers have taken the ministry to court 6 times

During the certification exam in April-May 2025, the ministry was sued a total of 6 times, in 1 case the ministry lost, and in 4 it was found that it won. Another court case is now expected to be considered.

As you know, a group of teachers recently filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Preschool and School Education demanding the re-conducting of attestation exams and recovering moral damages and representative expenses.

According to information provided to Gazeta.uz by the head of the department of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, Sardor Rakhimboyev, the Ministry has been sued 5 times by teachers of various subjects for the certification exam in April-May 2025.

In four of them, the ministry won, and in one, independent experts appointed by the court found an error in the attestation question, and the applicant teacher was awarded additional points.

This is the sixth lawsuit recently filed in court regarding the April-May 2025 attestation exam, and the case is expected to be reviewed now.

What results did the teachers who participated in the certification show?

Sardor Rakhimboyev, a responsible employee of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, also provided information on the results recorded by native language and literature teachers who participated in the certification tests conducted in April-May 2025.

It was reported that currently, 40.9 thousand teachers of native language and literature work in public schools, of which 15,993 participated in the spring attestation.

According to the results of the certification, 1,148 of them (14.6%) received an upgrade to a qualification category, and the category of 2,331 was retained for a new 5-year period.

The category of 912 (5.7%) teachers decreased. 11,697 (73.1%) teachers had a negative result. However, since these teachers participated in the certification outside the queue, although their results were not positive, their category remained unchanged.

Teachers were given additional points for incorrect questions

Sardor Rakhimboyev, Head of Department at the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, said that many teachers were given additional points for incorrect questions.

"In all testing systems in the world, there are, of course, incorrect questions. Unfortunately, there have been some errors among the test questions until now, and there may be some in the future.

It must be admitted that there were also a few erroneous questions in this year's certification tests. Many teachers were given additional points for these questions. If one question is found to be incorrect, points will be added to all participants who received that question," Sardor Rakhimboyev said.
