Another benefit promised to teachers has come into force.

As you know, on September 15, 2025, during a meeting with employees of the education system, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev put forward new initiatives aimed at further supporting teachers and announced the introduction of 8 benefits for teachers.

One of them was the allocation of preferential educational loans of up to $20,000 to teachers who entered the TOP-300 universities in the world.

On March 2, 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers signed Resolution No. 88 "On Measures of Financial Support for the Education of Youth and Pedagogical Workers Abroad."

According to the decree, starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, a system will be introduced for allocating educational loans of up to $20,000 per academic year to young people and teaching staff wishing to study on a paid-contract basis in foreign higher education institutions ranked in the TOP-300 of internationally recognized organizations.

At the same time, educational loans are allocated in national currency in the equivalent of up to 20 thousand US dollars per academic year to borrowers wishing to study on a paid-contract basis in foreign higher educational institutions that are in the TOP-300 list of internationally recognized organizations.

The principal of the educational loan is repaid within 7 years, starting from the seventh month after the official end of the student's study period. The accrual and payment of interest on the educational loan is carried out from the date of transfer of funds to the higher educational organization, and the repayment of the principal debt is carried out from the seventh month after the end of the officially established period of study in the relevant form of education in the higher educational organization by the borrower.

When applying to the bank for an educational loan, teachers submit the following documents:

• application for an educational loan;

• copies of valid identity documents of the applicant (co-borrower);

• invitation letter from the educational organization on the admission of a student (for 1st-year students);

• document on the results of academic performance based on the results of each study period (semester, trimester, semester, and year) (starting from the 2nd year);

• a contract for study on a paid-contract basis, drawn up in the prescribed manner, and an invoice indicating the bank details (account number, SWIFT code) of the higher educational organization;

• information on the income of co-borrowers for the last 12 months;

• a copy of the work record book downloaded from the interdepartmental hardware and software complex "Unified National Labor System" of the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction for pedagogical workers over thirty years of age (this document is used to determine whether the borrower is a pedagogical worker);

• other documents established by the bank's internal regulations.

It should be recalled that earlier, by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers "On additional measures for social support of teachers with a higher qualification category (position of chief teacher)," benefits for reimbursement of 25 percent of the initial payment of a mortgage loan to teachers of the highest category with 15 years of experience also came into force.
