Physical education and music teachers undergo certification in a different order.

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education once again reminded about the form of certification tests for teachers of physical education and musical culture.

As is known, on October 25, 2025, the first stage of certification tests for teachers of physical education and musical culture subjects of general education schools of the system of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education was held.

In the first stage, unlike other subjects, each of the 40 test tasks given in the specialty subject (35) and the professional standard (5) was assessed with 1 point. (total 40 points).

In the second stage (practical exam), the subject "Musical Culture" is organized by the Ministry of Culture, and the subject "Physical Education" is organized by the Ministry of Sports and is assessed on a 60-point system.

Teachers who have a higher or first qualification category in physical education and musical culture and meet the relevant requirements will also participate in the "Teacher of the Year" competition based on the results of the first stage of certification tests.

In addition to the 40 test questions listed above, teachers of music culture and physical education who wanted to participate in the competition answered 10 test questions on pedagogical skills (a total of 50 questions).

The tests (50 questions) for the "Teacher of the Year" competition were evaluated in the following order:

• in the specialty subject - 35 questions (3.1 points each);

• on pedagogical skills - 10 questions (2.1 points each);

• according to the professional standard - 5 questions (1.1 points each).

Note that the results of testing the qualification category of teachers of music culture and physical education subjects were assessed only for the specialty subject and professional standard (40 questions, 1 point for each correct answer, a total of 40 points). Points from the subject "Pedagogical Excellence" were not included in the results of the qualification category test.

If the teacher does not wish to participate in the "Teacher of the Year" competition, they will complete 40 test tasks in the specialty subject and professional standard, which is sufficient for the certification process.

Teachers who wish to participate in the "Teacher of the Year" competition and meet the relevant requirements answered 10 additional questions on pedagogical skills (additional time is also allocated).
