The President's instruction to send teachers abroad for advanced training has not been fully implemented.
At a video-selector meeting held on May 15, 2025, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.Mirziyoyev, on the reforms carried out in school education and the main tasks for the future, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the khokimiyats of the city of Tashkent and regions were instructed to send 5 school teachers from each district (city) abroad for advanced training.
In order to ensure the implementation of the task, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education has developed a "Roadmap" for organizing the sending of 5 school teachers from districts (cities) abroad for advanced training.
According to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, in 2025, 360 teachers were sent to Turkey, Germany, Malaysia, France, and Azerbaijan for advanced training.
According to Xalqtaliminfo.uz, teachers were also sent to Japan for advanced training.
However, from the statistics provided by the ministry, it can be seen that in some regions, the presidential order was not properly implemented.
Because, according to the president's instructions, 5 teachers from each district (city), a total of more than 1000 school teachers, were supposed to be sent abroad for advanced training.
According to the decree, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regional preschool and school education departments will develop criteria for selecting teachers for advanced training abroad and select school teachers by August 1, 2025.
After that, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the khokimiyats of the city of Tashkent and regions, and the territorial departments of preschool and school education were to send school teachers abroad for advanced training in September-December 2025 and organize a seminar-training for teachers of secondary schools in districts (cities) on the results of advanced training abroad.
So far, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education has not provided specific information on why this task has not been fully implemented.
