"Does anyone listen to blind teachers?" published today on the website of xalqtaliminfo.uz. After the article, Dilfuza Sobirova, Head of the Information Service of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, contacted the editorial office of xalqtaliminfo.uz and stated that the problems related to the ministry would be resolved.
Regarding the misunderstandings that have arisen regarding the qualification descriptions of the position of translator-secretary (referent) attached to a blind teacher, the following was reported:
"Qualification descriptions of leaders and employees of general secondary education school (boarding school)" approved by the order of the Minister of Pre-school and School Education No. 247 of August 16, 2023 to the blind teacher according to the qualification description of the position of attached translator-secretary (referent), it is noted that the translator-secretary (referent) should have a higher, bachelor's degree (master's degree, scientific degree is preferred). In addition, a foreign language specialty was required for the position of translator-secretary.
Dilfuza Sobirova, head of the Information Service of the Ministry, said that such a problem occurred due to a technical error in determining the qualifications for the position of translator-secretary (referent) attached to a blind teacher.
Later, this problem was quickly resolved, and the corrected version of "Qualification descriptions of general secondary education school (boarding school) leaders and employees" approved by the order of the Ministry No. 247 dated August 16, 2023, was delivered to the regions.
The emerging problem related to the introduction of an additional translator-secretary position in schools where blind teachers work will be studied on a case-by-case basis, and measures will be taken to eliminate it in schools where such problems are observed. was announced.
At this point, we ask blind teachers who are facing such problems to contact the editorial office of khoktaliminfo.uz.
The issue of creating sufficient conditions for blind teachers to participate in the National Certification process should be resolved by the Knowledge and Skills Assessment Agency. So, now we are waiting for the reaction of the agency.
