Two schoolchildren died from carbon monoxide poisoning in the Khojeyli district of Karakalpakstan. This was reported by Daryo.uz.
It was established that on December 13, a citizen who rented a house on Fakhririylar Street in the village of Kamyksholi, "Samankol" rural community, and lived with his two grandchildren, arbitrarily moved the homemade heating oven to another room to heat their house. Then he illegally connected it to the gas network without a chimney.
As a result, family members were severely poisoned by the burning gas smoke, that is, carbon monoxide, and citizen A.J. and his two grandchildren - A.S. born in 2011 (8th grade) and A.Q. born in 2015 (4th grade) died at the scene without regaining consciousness.
The district administration stated that social assistance is being provided to the family of the deceased. Currently, a pre-trial investigation is underway.
