Two schoolchildren drowned in the Fergana Canal
Five days ago, two schoolchildren drowned in the northern Fergana Canal in the Namangan region. This was reported by the Information Service of the Emergency Situations Department of Namangan region.
On July 23 of this year, 5-6 children aged 15-16 will go swimming in the section of the North Fergana Canal flowing through the Mirishkor neighborhood of Namangan district. However, two of them did not return from the water.
On July 25, one of the drowned was found dead in the Turakurgan district. Another child, born in 2009, is wanted.
"According to the information received by the 112th Unified Dispatch Service on July 23 of this year at 13:48, underwater and underwater search operations are being conducted for a minor citizen, a boy born in 2009, residing in the Mirishkor neighborhood of Namangan district.
"Currently, firefighters of the Namangan, Chust, and Pap district departments of emergency situations are carrying out surface and underwater search operations by divers of the department's fire rescue team," the press service of the Namangan regional Department of Emergency Situations reported.
The father of the child whose body is being searched for appeals to the authorities and asks them to reduce the water in the canal.
