"In order to ensure the participation of students in international Olympiads, appropriate work is being carried out" - the ministry

The press service of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education issued an official statement regarding the suspension of Uzbekistan from the International Biological Olympiad. Some details were also disclosed in the statement.

It was reported that 4 students participated in the national team of Uzbekistan in the Olympiad held in Kazakhstan on July 7-14 this year. Also, along with students, 3 team leaders and 2 observers-teachers took part in the Olympiad at their own expense.

After the Olympic trials, the organizing committee found cases of using additional symbols in the process of translating the Olympic control materials of teams from English to their native languages.

It turned out that the teacher of the academic lyceum at the Jizzakh State Pedagogical University tried to help his student.

Therefore, the organizing committee decided not to take into account the results of the students in this case.

"It should be noted that the issue of the participation of the Uzbek team in the next year has not yet been clearly defined. The exact decision will be announced in the process of sending an invitation to the 2025 Olympics. 

The Ministry of Preschool and School Education is working to ensure the participation of our students in prestigious international Olympiads," the press service said.
