Question
I work at a school, can I get financial assistance because my husband has an operation? If I ask for financial support, it will not be given to you because your spouse has had an operation. Financial support is given only if the teacher himself has an operation, because they say that your spouse does not work at the school. Is that right?
Answer
According to Clause 12-B of the regulation approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 823, financial support can be assigned to employees of general education institutions based on their appeals or the initiative of the trade union committee.
According to Article 33 of the Regulation, financial assistance to employees of general education institutions is up to the amount of two positions' salary (teacher's tariff rate) during the calendar year in the event of the death of the employee himself and a close relative (father, mother, spouse, child). it is shown when the employee suffers from a serious illness or is damaged by a natural disaster.
That is, we believe that if your spouse underwent surgery due to a serious illness, you should be given financial assistance. We recommend writing to the trade union regarding this issue.
