The International Biology Olympiad will be held on June 9-14

Today, the Information and Mass Communications Agency held a press conference on the processes of organizing the Abu Ali Ibn Sina International Biology Olympiad, which is being held for the first time in Bukhara by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education on June 9-14 of this year.

19 countries of the world - Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, India, Kuwait, Belarus, Qatar, Georgia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Turkey, Finland, and A total of 120 students (30 teams) representing Uzbekistan will participate. Special attention was paid to the requirements of the methodology of the international Olympiad in the formation of test tasks prepared for the Olympiad.

In order for the International Olympiad to be held at a high level, experts from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan with many years of experience in international Olympiads and high potential are being recruited into the jury.

How will this Olympiad be organized?

The international biology Olympiad named after Abu Ali Ibn Sina, held among 15-18-year-old teenagers, is organized in 2 rounds.

The 1st round is conducted in the form of a written work (theoretical), and the participants are given 50 tasks of different difficulty levels - they are evaluated with a total of 100 points. Participants will be given 3 hours to complete the tasks of this round.

The 2nd round is conducted in the form of practical work, 2 assignments are given and each is evaluated with a maximum of 100 points out of 50. 3 hours will be allocated for completing the tasks of the 2nd round.

A maximum of 200 points is awarded for two rounds. Winners and prize-winners will be awarded with gold, silver, bronze medals, diplomas and souvenirs.

As part of the Olympics, a number of master classes will be held for students and young people with the participation of international experts. In addition, trips to the historical and cultural monuments of Bukhara are organized for the participants and guests of the Olympiad.

This Olympiad will serve as the next stage of preparation for the International Biology Olympiad, which will be held in Kazakhstan in July this year.

Participated in the 35th International Informatics Olympiad. In total, 13 medals (2 gold, 1 silver and 10 bronze) were awarded, 52 medals (6 gold, 23 silver and 23 bronze) at regional international Olympiads.

A total of 8 bln. soums were allocated.

In particular, the most prestigious international Olympiads:

to the gold medalist - 170 mln. soums, 153 million soums for the teacher. soum;
to the winner of the silver medal - 102 mln. 85 million soums for the teacher. soum;
to the bronze medalist - 68 mln. 51 million soums for the teacher. soum

Regional International Olympiads:

to the gold medalist - 4.08 mln. 17 million soums for the teacher. soum;
to the silver medalist - 2.72 mln. 11.9 million soums for a teacher. soum;
to the bronze medalist - 2.04 million. 10.2 million soums for the teacher. soum was given.

In addition, students awarded with medals at the most prestigious international Olympiads are admitted to higher education institutions on the basis of a state grant, and their teachers are given a 200% raise for the next academic year.

Pupils awarded medals at regional international Olympiads will receive the maximum score in their subject when entering higher education institutions.

This year, Uzbek students took part in the International Jautikov Olympiad, the Caucasian Mathematics Olympiad, the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad, the Balkan Mathematics Olympiad, the International Mathematics Olympiad, and the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad. is enough.

Also, in June-September, it is planned to participate in 5 more prestigious international Olympiads - Balkan Mathematics Olympiad (Turkey), International Economics Olympiad (China), International Mathematics Competition (India), International Geography Olympiad (Ireland).
