Khilola Umarova responds to parliamentary inquiry about medical rooms in schools

At the meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis held on May 31, 2024, the parliamentary request of the Legislative Chamber "On the state of medical care for children in general secondary educational organizations" was sent to the Minister of Preschool and School Education Kh.

This was due to the fact that some secondary schools in the republic did not have medical rooms and the existing medical rooms were not fully equipped with the necessary equipment.

At the regular meeting of the Legislative Chamber held on July 9 this year, the deputies considered the response to this parliamentary inquiry.

It is stated that the issues of organizing medical services for students in general secondary schools, providing them with medical care, and protecting their health are regulated by the relevant joint decision of the responsible ministries.

Doctors and nurses are assigned to general secondary schools by regional district (city) multidisciplinary central polyclinics on a scheduled basis. In 10,165 general secondary schools in our country, 6,357 doctors, 10,176 mid-level medical workers, and 252 dentists work.

At the same time, 9,085 out of 10,165 secondary schools under the Ministry of Preschool and School Education have medical rooms. 7,766 of them are equipped with all necessary equipment. The rest are partially equipped. In order to provide these medical rooms with 36 types of medicines, 7.8 billion soums were allocated from the local budget, and 116 million soums were allocated for the purchase of medical products.

According to the Minister's response, on the basis of the preventive vaccination calendar plan of the Ministry of Health, vaccination of students in accordance with their age, an in-depth medical examination of students of general secondary educational institutions is held once a year with the participation of specialized specialists. At the same time, tests against 100% aphids are carried out once a year in grades 1-4.

At the meeting, it was noted that detailed information was provided on the issues raised in the response to the parliamentary inquiry, and the response of the Minister of Preschool and School Education was accepted for reference.
