It became known that 71.4 billion soums were transferred to medical institutions for the medical examination of teachers

It is known that according to Article 6 of the Law "On the Status of a Teacher," pedagogical workers have the right to undergo free medical examinations in state healthcare institutions (for state educational institutions and organizations), and Article 7 of this Law stipulates that one of the obligations of pedagogical workers is to undergo mandatory medical examinations on time.

At the same time, in accordance with the Regulation "On the procedure for conducting medical examinations of employees," approved by the order of the Minister of Health registered with the Ministry of Justice No. 2387 on August 29, 2012, teachers and other employees of general education schools, preschool educational institutions, and other institutions directly involved in the education or upbringing of children must undergo medical examinations at least once a year.

Currently, in connection with preparations for the new academic year, there have been instances of medical institutions requiring various payments for the medical examination of teachers and other employees.

This can also be seen from the results of a survey conducted on the Telegram channel @xalqtaliminfo. Of the 7,584 respondents who participated in the survey, 55 percent (4,167 people) reported that money is being demanded for medical examinations, 29 percent (2,210 people) stated that there are some problems in this regard, and only 16 percent said that money is not being required for medical examinations.

To clarify these situations and to organize free medical examinations for teachers and other employees of general education schools, preschool educational institutions, and other institutions, as well as to ensure their timely implementation, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, along with the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Health, signed a directive letter.

It instructs the compilation of a list of employees who are required to undergo medical examinations in preschool and school educational units, as well as a schedule for examinations (with relevant information for each school and preschool educational institution), and to submit this to the regional multidisciplinary central polyclinic, regional AIDS centers, and territorial departments of Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health.

It has been revealed that 71.4 billion soums were allocated from the state budget for mandatory medical examinations this year, and these funds are planned for the corresponding cost estimates of medical institutions.
