Is the post of psychologist completely abolished?
Question
Has the psychologist staff unit been completely abolished? Will all psychologists currently working be fired?
Answer
On August 30 of this year, according to the order of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education No. 288, we informed about the reduction of some positions in educational institutions.
According to this order, 1 full-time psychologist position will be allocated when the number of students is 1,500, and 2 full-time psychologist positions will be allocated when the number of students is above 1,500.
But this does not mean that the employment contract with all psychologists will be terminated.
That is, in schools with up to 1,500 students, 1 full-time position is maintained, and when the number of students is 1,500 or more, 2 full-time positions are kept.
In this case, the position of psychologist at the rate of 0.5 in schools with the number of students from 500 to 1000 will be terminated, and only the position of psychologist at the rate of 1 will be left.
The staff unit of psychologists working at the rate of 0.5 in schools with the number of students from 1,500 to 2,000 was terminated.
Also, 1 additional psychologist staff units in schools with 2,000 students and more will be terminated, leaving only 2 staff units. Previously, this number was 3 states.
