Now psychologists can also receive a qualification category

As is known, the Regulation "On the Procedure for Attestation of Psychological Personnel of the Psychological Service in General Secondary and Secondary Specialized State Educational Institutions," approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 577 of July 12, 2019, defines the procedure for certification of psychologists.

However, due to the lack of a professional standard for psychologists working in educational institutions, they were not involved in the certification.

Recently, school psychologists can also be seen in the list of materials on the certification of teachers published by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.

It also includes a test specification for the test system of qualification categories for pedagogical personnel in the field of psychology.

From this, it can be understood that starting from the spring attestation of this year, school psychologists can take part in qualification tests and receive a category.

It should be recalled that currently, the monthly salary of psychologists is also differentiated by qualification category and is defined as follows:

• Psychologist with higher education - 3 million 051 thousand 742 soums;

• Psychologist of the second category - 3 million 268 thousand 047 soums;

• Psychologist of the first category - 3 million 489 thousand 865 soums;

• Psychologist of the highest category - 3 million 702 thousand 280 soums.
