Teachers who use fake certificates may be held accountable

It is known that in order to further stimulate teachers, a system of monthly additional allowances has been introduced for teaching staff who have a corresponding level of certification in general education subjects. In addition, pedagogical staff with a qualification category will be paid an additional fee.
The basis for paying for the qualification category is a certificate of obtaining this category. Sardor Rakhimboyev, an official of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, told xalqtaliminfo.uz that there are also teachers who have forged various certificates.
"In the process of introducing qualification category certificates that were not previously included in the system, we are also encountering some fake certificates. Unfortunately, among our teachers, there are those who forged the certificate of another teacher and formalized it on their own behalf through various programs.
With these actions, some of our teachers put themselves in an awkward position. Because when the certificates placed in the system are reloaded to the platform, it turns out that it is a fake certificate. That is, it is impossible to place a fake certificate on the platform.
Everything is perfectly designed. Some teachers are shamelessly complaining that they bring a knowingly fake certificate and my certificate does not leave the ERP database," said Sardor Rakhimboyev.
In some cases, it is possible to observe cases of falsification of these certificates by "hard-working" individuals and selling them to teachers for a certain amount.
What is the responsibility for this in the legislation?
It should be remembered that the certificate holder is personally responsible for the authenticity of the certificates provided by teachers.
If counterfeit certificates are found, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education may apply to the court in accordance with Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and terminate the employment contract with at least these employees if their guilt is proven.
Important note: According to Article 228 of the Criminal Code, the manufacture, forgery, sale of documents, stamps, seals, forms - is punishable by a fine from fifty to one hundred basic calculation units, that is, from 18,750,000 soums to 37,500,000 soums, or compulsory community service for up to 360 hours, or correctional labor for up to three years.
Using the document knowingly as a forgery is punishable by a fine of from twenty-five to fifty times the base calculation amount, that is, from 9 million 375 thousand soums to 18 million 750 thousand soums, or compulsory community service for up to three hundred hours or correctional work for up to two years, or restriction of liberty for up to two years or imprisonment for up to two years.
