The head of the Department of Preschool Education was detained for asking for a bribe in exchange for not conducting an investigation.

During an operation conducted jointly by the State Security Service and the Prosecutor's Office, the illegal actions of one of the officials of the Jizzakh region's education system were uncovered.

In particular, the head of the Department of Preschool and School Education, abusing his official powers, demanded a bribe of 4.8 million soums from the head of one of the state preschool educational organizations in exchange for not conducting an inspection.

However, this official was caught red-handed while receiving the requested funds.

A criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 210, Part 2, Clause "v" of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is underway.

Also, during the investigation, his other illegal actions, such as embezzlement or embezzlement, official forgery, and the legalization of proceeds from criminal activity, as provided for in Articles 167, 209, and 243 of the Criminal Code, were exposed.
