The head of the "oblono" of Samarkand has been dismissed

The head of the Department of Preschool and School Education of the Samarkand region, Muzaffar Khamdamov, was dismissed for sending his son and nephew to the "Alvon Yelkanlar" (Red Sails) celebration, which was supposed to be attended by gifted students.

The head of the Department of Preschool and School Education of the Samarkand region, Muzaffar Khamdamov, sent his son and nephew, as well as the children of the heads and responsible employees of some departments of the department, instead of sending gifted students to the "Alvon Yelkanlar" ("Red Sails") celebration for school graduates of the Russian Federation. This caused widespread discussion.

After the results of the investigation, it became known that 4 of the 8 students sent abroad were the sons and nephews of the head of the department, and two more were the children of an accountant and methodologist working in the department.

After that, Samarkand officials, who sent their children and nephews abroad instead of talented youth, returned 28 million soums to the budget. This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Agency.

According to the Anti-Corruption Agency's press service, Muzaffar Hamdamov, head of the Samarkand Regional Department of Preschool and School Education, has been dismissed.
