In Norway, children are also prohibited from using social networks

The government of Norway plans to introduce a strict age limit for social media users. Children under 15 years old will no longer be able to use them. This was reported by The Guardian.
The country's Prime Minister, Jonas Gar Steere, said that politicians need to intervene to protect children from harmful content on social media and the dominance of algorithms. The Nordic country already has a minimum age limit of 13 years. Nevertheless, according to the study, more than half of nine-year-olds, 58% of 10-year-olds, and 72% of 11-year-olds use social media.
For information, Norway is not the first country to establish an age limit for social media use, including in September, the Australian government announced that it is preparing a bill to protect children from online threats. The country may set a minimum age at which a child can access the Internet and social media.
Such an age has not yet been determined. According to Prime Minister Anthony Albaneze, the government is considering banning children aged 14−16 from using Instagram and TikTok, while he himself prefers to set the minimum age at 16.
In France, a ban on mobile phones in schools for students under 15 is being tested. If successful, it can be implemented nationwide starting in January.
At the end of 2015, EU countries tried to introduce a similar ban, but the project was not accepted due to complaints about the rights of minors being restricted online
