An official instruction was given on holding the New Year holiday in schools and kindergartens

In accordance with the instruction letter of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education dated December 16, 2024, recommendations were given for holding New Year celebrations in educational institutions.

These guidelines apply to preschool educational organizations, general education, specialized, creative and presidential schools.

In connection with the New Year holiday, the following are recommended

• To organize the territory, buildings and classrooms of educational organizations in connection with the New Year holiday, to decorate the natural fir tree (if available) in the courtyard of educational organizations with various decorations made by the hands of students and pupils;

• To decorate the foyer, activist or sports halls of educational organizations with various decorations made by the hands of students and pupils for the New Year celebration, taking measures to prevent them from being decorated with various types of electric lighting;

• organizing festive events on the territory of educational organizations in an interesting way and festive decoration of the territory of the educational institution;

• holding festive events in groups of educational organizations and classrooms for elementary school students without interrupting lessons;

• among the senior classes of educational organizations, organize handmade decorations (paper snowflakes and other Christmas decorations), such as "The most beautifully decorated classroom" and "Best New Year greetings" (on behalf of the class to the school, teachers, parents);

• it is recommended that students demonstrate various fairy tales and stage performances related to the New Year holiday.

The following work should be done

• organization of propaganda work among students and parents on the celebration of the New Year holiday in a family circle;

• taking measures to prevent students from bringing and using various pyrotechnics;

• the educational organization's leadership should conduct explanatory work with students and their parents about the serious consequences of using various pyrotechnics during "Morning Standings," and class teachers during "Class Hours" and "Parent Meeting."

The following are prohibited

• breaking branches and branches of natural fir trees under the pretext of a holiday or moving them to another place;

• Organizing illegal collections of money by students and teachers under the pretext of celebrating the New Year holiday;

• It is strictly forbidden to hold the New Year holiday in restaurants, cafes and other catering establishments, as well as to present various gifts to the management and pedagogical staff of educational organizations by students, their parents on the occasion of the holiday.
