Tashkent Presidential School won a prestigious award and a $150,000 grant
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is in Abu Dhabi on an official visit at the invitation of the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed Al Nahyan.
Today, January 14, the head of state took part in the opening ceremony of the international summit "Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week" and the award ceremony in the field of sustainable development named after Sheikh Zayed.
Within the framework of the forum, an award ceremony will be held for achievements in the field of sustainable development named after the late Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, the founder of the Emirates. This time, the Presidential School in Tashkent was recognized as the winner in the category "Global Secondary Schools."
It turned out that 156 countries participated in it, a total of 5,980 applications were received. Students of the Tashkent Presidential School took the first place among the participants from Europe and Central Asia and won a grant in the amount of $150,000.
The winning school team was personally congratulated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan Prize (Zayed Sustainability Prize) is one of the most prestigious awards in the field of sustainable development on a global scale.
It was established to continue the legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the United Arab Emirates. The award aims to support innovative approaches to sustainability and encourage positive change on a global scale.

- Global high schools
The "Global High Schools" nomination aims to encourage high schools around the world for their innovative sustainability projects.
