The schoolboy who drove the car caused the inspector's death
A 10th-grade student of the 8th general education school in the city of Navoi, who does not have a driver's license and does not know traffic rules, drove his father's Kia Sonet car at night in the territory of the city of Navoi without a license plate, without adhering to traffic rules. When an inspector working in the area tried to stop him, the boy hit the employee and fled from the scene.
In the city of Navoi, an inspector of the road patrol service died as a result of a car accident while on duty.
According to the information service of the Traffic Safety Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the accident occurred on January 19 at 1:45 p.m. Jasurjon Mukhammadov, an inspector of the traffic patrol service of the Navoi Regional Internal Affairs Department, who was serving on Islam Karimov Street in the city of Navoi, made a sign to the driver of the Kia Sonet car, who was driving without a license plate, to stop.
However, the driver disobeyed the sign of stopping and, in violation of traffic rules, went in the opposite direction and hit the inspector. Then he fled from the scene. The inspector died on the spot.
As a result of the operational investigation, it was found that the Kia Sonet was driven by S.M., born in 2008, and the car belonged to his father. The car was found in its hiding place and placed in the penalty area.
Currently, the Navoi city prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into the situation.
"A 10th-grade student of the 8th general education school in Navoi city who does not have a driver's license and does not know traffic rules could have hit another citizen on the road. Unfortunately, the traffic police inspector, who was serving faithfully his duty to the Motherland, became the victim of a violation when he gave a stop sign. In recent times, there have been many cases where adults have given minor children the right to drive a car.
This will inevitably lead to tragic consequences. Therefore, we ask parents not to make such a mistake for the safety of their children, as well as other road users," said Zoyir Yuldashov, head of the information service of the traffic safety department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Inspector Jasurjon Mukhammadov was born in 1993, the father of 2 children. He has been working in the system of internal affairs bodies since 2017.
