The Ministry of Education may be completely abolished in the USA

In an interview with Fox News, President Donald Trump described the country's education system and the US Department of Education as the worst in the world.
He explained his intention to abolish the Ministry of Education.
"We want to return schools to the states (government administration). Because literally we have the worst education and training ministry in the world," Trump said.
According to the president, the states are not inferior to the best education ministries in the world in managing schools.
During his first presidential term, Donald Trump proposed merging the Ministries of Education and Labor, but Congress opposed it.
During his election campaign, Trump promised to eliminate this ministry, believing that the Ministry of Education is another bureaucracy whose role can be performed by departments within the states.
In the model proposed by President Donald Trump, the education system is managed not by a central ministry, but by individual states or local governments.
This approach aims to increase flexibility to local needs, allowing each state to develop and implement educational programs tailored to its regional context. In addition, federal government intervention in the educational process will decrease, bureaucratic barriers will be reduced, and decision-making will be accelerated.
There are also negative aspects of this management method, in which, as a result of a decrease in centralized control, differences between states as a form of education may increase.
