Two thousand schools are operating with a high load.

On April 21, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation on improving the quality of school education and the system of teacher training.

It was noted that 2 thousand schools are operating with high load, and 112 thousand new student places will be created this year at the expense of the budget.

It was noted that due to population growth and the growing need for schools, it is planned to attract $200 million from the Islamic Development Bank and build 58 modern schools in the regions. The presentation also addressed the revitalization of the activities of pedagogical universities.

It is said that there is very little training of teachers in exact and natural sciences. 40% of students are studying by correspondence.

In this regard, it is planned to transform the Tashkent State Pedagogical University into the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan and implement the project "Future Teachers." The university will become a base university for pedagogical institutes in all regions.

At the end of the presentation, it was noted that 80 percent of school-age children are active on the Internet and social networks, but there are only a few creators who create interesting national content that has a strong influence on the education and upbringing of young people.

Based on this, instructions were given on creating a safe information environment for children, increasing national content, and supporting creators.
